Join the Children’s Discovery Museum for Day of Play presented by PNC. More than 60 vendors take over Beaufort Street in Uptown Normal to provide scads of exciting PLAY activities. This national initiative, marked by a whole day of activities, encourages children and families to turn off screens, set down electronic devices and go play outside! Day of Play embodies the museum’s mission of “Inspiring the love of learning through the power of play.” The whole day is FREE and designed to provide opportunities for kids and parents to play and learn together! Parking available at College Parking Deck, Trail East Parking Lot, Anderson Park and Chiddix Junior High. Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Join us in Uptown Normal for an evening of traditional German food, music and drink as the Illinois State University Credit Union presents Medici Oktoberfest! This family-friendly event takes place on North Street in Uptown Normal and features delicious Oktoberfest brews, authentic German fare, live entertainment, Oktoberfest merchandise and Redbird student athletes. Saturday, Sept. 24 from 4-10 p.m.
