The Town of Normal Water Department will receive sealed bids for the following:
LINCOLN STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT
Bids must be submitted to the Town Clerk in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Town of Normal – Lincoln Street Water Main Replacement" with the time and date of the opening, which will be December 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time, at the Normal City Hall, 11 Uptown Circle, Normal, Illinois 61761.
General Project Description: The BASE BID work includes furnishing and installing approximately 1,831 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter water main (open cut) along a section of Lincoln Street between Linden Avenue and Douglas Street including piping, valves, taps, and all appurtenant work.
For a nonrefundable fee of $22.00, prospective bidders may obtain bid documents on Clark Dietz’s website at www.clarkdietz.com. Access the documents by clicking on the “Bidding Documents” icon located on the top of the page, then selecting “Browse Projects” to find “Town of Normal – Lincoln Street Water Main Replacement (Quest Project #8653774)” bid documents. Click on the project title and you will be directed to a web page where the bid documents can be downloaded in portable document format (.pdf). The bidding services are provided by QuestCDN.com where you can complete a free membership registration to Quest. Addenda notices will be made via email to the email address provided when downloading the plans. All Bidding Document holders must provide a name, phone number and email address to receive electronic addenda.
This is a prevailing-wage project. The Town of Normal reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive any formalities in the bidding procedures. The bid award will be made by the Town Council and their decision will be final.
