The town clerk serves as the coordinator of records management for the town, including all official records of the town; e.g. ordinances, resolutions, council minutes, agreements, business licenses, liquor licenses and numerous additional types of licenses, documents and informational material. The clerk attends and records actions at all council meetings.

Directions to City Hall

From the North and West

  • Exit Interstate 55 at Exit 165A Main Street/BUS US-51 S
  • Travel south on Main Street/BUS US-51 S for approximately 1.7 miles
  • Turn left (east) on College Avenue
  • Turn right on Constitution Boulevard
  • When you get to the roundabout take the 2nd right (Beaufort Street)
  • Turn left into the Uptown Station Parking Deck (Parking rates apply Monday-Saturday. $1 per hour with the first hour being free. It is free to park after 5pm and on Sunday.)
  • City Hall is connected to the Uptown Station Parking Deck (floors 2-4)

From the East and South

  • Take Interstate 74 to Interstate 55 North
  • Exit Interstate 55 at Exit 165A Main Street/BUS US-51 S
  • Follow the directions as written above, beginning with bullet #2
