Emergency
To report an emergency anywhere in McLean County, dial 9-1-1 from your cell or landline phone. You will be connected with the METCOM Dispatch Center.
METCOM is responsible for dispatching:
Bloomington Police and Fire departments have their own dispatch center; however, they can connect with the METCOM Dispatch Center if needed.
Non-Emergency
To report a non-emergency, call (309) 888-5030. This is the non-emergency number for the METCOM dispatch center.

If you have police-related questions or would like to leave a message for an officer, you may contact the Normal Police Department general information line at (309) 454-9535.
Online
The following crimes can be reported online if certain conditions apply:
- Damage to property (with no suspect information)
- Damage to personal property
- Damage to motor vehicle
- Lost Property
- Theft under $500 (with no suspect information)
- Theft from exterior of property
- Theft from exterior of vehicle
- Theft of personal property
If the crime you are reporting meets any of the above criteria, you may use the online reporting system.
If you can provide information about who may have committed the crime, you are not eligible to submit a report online. Contact the police non-emergency number at (309) 888-5030 or report the crime in person at the Normal Police Department 24 hours a day.
