Andrew Huhn- Finance

Andrew Huhn has served as director of the Finance Department for the Town of Normal since 2011. In this role, he leads the team responsible for the general accounting, financial reporting, billing, purchasing, investing and cash management for the Town.

Andrew Huhn has served as director of the Finance Department for the Town of Normal since 2011. In this role, he leads the team responsible for the general accounting, financial reporting, billing, purchasing, investing and cash management for the Town.

 As Finance Director, Huhn also serves as the Town’s Chief Financial Officer, Budget Officer, Town Treasurer and Police and Fire Pension Treasurer.

 Andrew has over 30 years of government finance experience and began his professional career in 1990 as a financial statement auditor for the State of Arizona - Office of the Auditor General. That office specialized in auditing the Annual Financial Statements of local governments and providing recommendations to improve their operations. He then worked for Arizona State University as an Internal Auditor, Maricopa County as the Deputy Finance Director and Maricopa Community College District as their Director of Finance.  

Huhn is a licensed certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting from the University of Arizona, Tucson, and Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.  

Huhn is a graduate of Leadership McLean County. Huhn is an active member of the Government Finance Officers Association at both the local and national level and has given a number of presentations for those organizations and others on finance- and budget-related topics.
